Gray Lady (from GhostBusters)
Leif is all things Ghostbusters these days, so we are creating a GhostBusters series from the characters in his Wii game. Note the bookshelves that were knocked over and the tissue paper "slime trail". I genuinely admire his creativity!
Prehistoric Time Map
Leif found a book at the library by Nigel Marven called Chased by Sea Monsters: Prehistoric Predators of the Deep. At the beginning of the book is a Time Map. He was so inspired he wanted to recreate this map. A static image doesn't do it justice, so here is Leif introducing his map of Prehistoric Time.

Arsinoitherium project
On this rainy weekend, Leif wanted to make an arsinoitherium project, again taking inspiration from Nigel's Sea Monsters. We went to the Fletcher Library and found a great book on prehistoric mammals. We spent some time on the tree leaves, using a sponge and some glitter paint, and Leif liked the sponge painting so much we put some dark, wet sand on the shore.

Yellowfin Tuna
This is the first thing Leif did when he walked in the door; I made supper while he drew and painted this magnificent fish. His inspiration is a poster he bought at the Kittery Trading Post while we were on vacation in Maine, "Fishes of the New England Coast".
